Cookindinners.Com is a Winner!

I must rave about the food I got from cookindinners.com in Norwalk, CT. It is delicious! Tonight I picked up my second round of meals, and this time I got family size so we could have seconds! The food is fresh, delicious and takes all of the guess work out of cooking. You simply follow the instructions provided by "George" and you have a delicious meal in no time at all. Right now, my pulled-pork is cooking in a pot, and my steamed squash is simmering. In just a little while, we'll be eating a feast. My son, Michael, can't believe we are eating real meals, and I no longer feel the terrible guilt of not being able to cook my family a decent dinner.

If you live in Fairfield County, CT I highly recommend you try cookindinners.com as soon as possible!

Beverly Hills Chihuahua

It's late, I'm tired, and I am looking back on another weekend where I've run errands, done chores, and watched my son play lots of baseball. I love watching my son play baseball, but other than that, I really don't do much for myself. One of the things I am missing out on is going to the movies. I really don't have anyone to go to the movies with. My son used to want to go to the movies with me, but he is 13 now and would much rather go with his friends. Since I am going to be 43 quite soon, I've decided that I am old enough to go to the movies all by myself -- just like a big girl lol!

Anyhow the reason for this post is to find out why the box office draw for Beverly Hills Chihuahua is so sky high. According to CNN, it was number one this weekend. I like dogs, but based on the trailers it doesn't seem all that appealing. If you've seen it, would you please let me know if it's worthy of my first solo movie. I am thinking that Nights of Rodante may be a better choice, but I am not sure that is a movie that you go to alone.

Any suggestions on what my first solo flight movie should be would be greatly appreciated. I can't go until next weekend, but I am already looking forward to the 1000 calorie popcorn!

Today is my Birthday -- Well not really!

The funniest thing happened to me today! My son and I were getting ready for an early baseball game, and rushing to get out of the house. At the same time, my husband was rushing to leave for a work meeting. It was a bit chaotic as we all realized we were running late, but apparently it wasn't too late for Roy (husband) and Michael (son) to take a moment to wish me a happy birthday and each give me a card. HOWEVER, today is NOT my birthday LOL! My birthday is next Friday, October 10th. I have been married to my husband for 18 years, and he clearly had no clue when my birthday is. My son even tried to tell him that today was not my birthday, but my husband didn't believe him, and then my son thought he was wrong about the date.

My friends at the baseball game said I should have taken the cards, said thank you and then demanded gifts and dinner lol! Then I would have had two birthdays to celebrate -- which would have been nice as long as there is a total guarantee that I will not be two years older next week!

Need Beauty Advice? I do!

I am in a beauty rut. I'll be 43 next week, and the 40s have taken their toll on me. I've gained 14 pounds over the past two years, and I feel just awful. Truth be told, I need a total body and life makeover, and I am trying. Today is day two on the Sensa sprinkles plan, and so far I do think they make me feel fuller quicker and longer. I think there is hope for weight loss if I can eat a bit less, and exercise a lot more.

I also recently bought a "Today's Special Value" from QVC, which was a grouping of face products from Dr. Nicholas Perricone's line. Perricone's products always seem to get rave reviews, so I bought them as a birthday present for myself. They arrived yesterday, but remain unopened. Hopefully, I'll give them a first use tomorrow morning. I also found a helpful and interesting article on CNN.com regarding emergency beauty substitutes. I always find myself needing a quick fix, and not having the right products. The article contained several great tips and ideas.
